Our Mission Statement
Working together to realize a shared vision of uncompromising excellence in dentistry.
As a licensed dental center in Palos Heights, IL we work with our patients so they can have a goal achieve and maintain a beautiful smile, healthier gums and teeth. We take the time with our patients to explain their treatment options and inform them of additional preventative care. We feel this will lead to a more trusting doctor/patient relationship and, for many people, relieve the stress about seeing the dentist.
To fulfill this mission, we are committed to:
Earning the trust and respect of our patients and professional community.
Educating and equipping our patients for full control and mastery over their individual oral health.
Nurturing a creative, challenging, and compassionate environment.
Continuous improvement and advancement in dental procedures, techniques, and technology.
Our Preventive Dentistry Philosophy
Both natural teeth (and teeth with restorations) survive best in an oral environment that is clean, where the intake of harmful foods is controlled. The dental philosophy we try to impart to our patients is about preventing new cavities and managing periodontal disease—as well as preserving teeth that have been restored. At a patient's initial visit, oral hygiene instructions are reviewed and are reinforced at subsequent recall visits. The following are our touchstone recommendations:
- Brush your teeth 2x a day, in a circular motion, with a soft bristled toothbrush aimed at the gum.
- Floss every night in an up-and-down motion, while keeping the floss in a U-shape and against the tooth surface.
- Avoid smoking.
- Avoid sticky and sugary foods.
- Eat a balanced diet.
- Use antiseptic and fluoride rinses as directed.
- Have sealants placed on young permanent teeth.
